Pastor’s Corner   9/28/08

     It is with great joy that I welcome you to Ronceverte Baptist Church.  If you are a visitor here for the first time, I want you to know we are glad you have chosen to worship with us.  We are a band of bible believers who want to see people born into the family of God.  In these days of uncertainties I thank God for His word that shall not fail.  I praise Him for all of the blessings, peace and comfort that He gives to His children.

     We had a great night Wednesday for our youth.  It was great to see 35 young people in attendance as well as all of the teachers and workers who made the fall fling so successful.  I want everyone who helped in any way to know that we as a church family thank you for all of your hard work.  The smiles on those young faces made it all worth while.  Our goal is to get as many of them as we can here for BYF and Sunday school.

     I ask you to pray for me today as I preach the unsearchable riches of God’s Holy word to all who are here.  I pray that the hearts of each one of us will be drawn closer to God during the upheaval that the world is facing.  My friend the only thing that truly matters in the end is being saved from your sins by accepting the gift of salvation from Jesus Christ.

Pastor’s Corner     9/21/08

     Good morning and welcome to Ronceverte Baptist Church.  It is good to be back with each of you today.  We had a great time celebrating Richie’s graduation last weekend from mortuary school.  Thank you for your prayers while we were away.

     Today several of our women are at a spiritual retreat in North Carolina.

I pray they will be refreshed and we pray that God will protect them as they return home.

     We have been preaching on faith for the last few weeks.  I trust these messages have been a help to you in your Christian walk.  I want to finish this series by looking at two people’s faith and how they were successful in receiving what they were promised.  We can be sure that if we exercise our faith we will be rewarded by our God.  Always remember to walk by faith and not by sight.

Pastor’s Corner  9/14/08

     Good morning and welcome to Ronceverte Baptist Church.  If you are a visitor with us today we want you to know we are glad you are here; please come back anytime you can.

     Dickie, Brenda and Sarah Holliday and Sheila and I will, Lord willing, be in Cincinnati, OH for Richie’s graduation from mortuary school on Saturday.  I ask you to pray for us as we travel.  I have asked Brother Gary Baker to preach for me today.  I know you will be blessed by hearing the message God has given to Gary for us.  I thank God for the friendship that we share in the ministry. 

     We had a great time at our church picnic the food and fellowship was great.  I want to thank Steve and Susan Morgan for sharing your beautiful home with your church family.  Thanks to all of our great cooks, the food was excellent.

     Lord willing I will see you back here Wednesday night for prayer meeting.  We are beginning a new study in the book of 1^st Timothy please read the first and second chapters to be ready for our study.  I also want to remind everyone about our Sunday school and BYF.  We are excited about the results that we are seeing.  We are going to have a church dinner when we meet the goal of 100 in Sunday school; I don’t believe it will be long, do you?
